Tornadoes and more tornadoes! When will they all stop!

I wish for no more tornadoes! I wish for no more deaths. I wish for no more destruction! I wish Mother Nature gets over with her monthly thing already!

Today I learned that Daryl's daughter-in-law's parents were in the Denning, Arkansas tornado last night! Thankfully, they are ok physically. The roof of their home was torn off and blown away. Thankfully her dad pulled her mom to the floor, covered her with their mattress, and laid on top to protect her. What a wonderful act of love, so selfless!

Too many people have suffered from the wrath of Mother Nature. Some blame it on the environment and how we humans have pissed her off with our wasting of her resources. Some, the religious, blame it on what is said in Revelations (a book of the Bible in the New Testament for those who do not know.). For whatever the reason, it sucks!

Waking up each day, turning on the morning news, and wondering what has happened to this world are common activities we all may endure day in and day out. What are we doing to make things better? Are we more wasteful? Are we less involved with others? Are we so selfish that we only take care of our own? Do we call our family on a regular basis? Do we donate to charity? Do we simply share a smile with someone who needs it?

Where is our compassion for others? Why do we hear about looters who come in and make things worse for those who have to deal with devastation? Who, in their right mind, would steal something that doesn't belong to them? Why kick someone when they are already down? Why cant these thieves instead reach out and help others reclaim what is lost or just volunteer to make things better, not worse? Too much time on one's hands should be fruitful not fruitless!

Daryl keeps telling me that people are not like what they used to be. I think, sure they are, they just make stupid choices! Shame on these people who are selfish, inconsiderate, and stuck on stupid! We are all here on this earth together. We all should try to make things better, not worse.

Stealing, lying, cheating, killing, hating...these words should not exist! What about sharing, caring, loving, helping, giving, and selflessness? These are the words that we should all know and embrace.

Well...time to get something fruitful done...love to you all...make a difference today too!
